STANFORD senior goalkeeper and MPSF Tournament MVP Laura Shane tied her season-high of 17 saves in the finals against Denver, helping the Cardinal win their fourth straight conference title, 9-8. She also collected 13 saves in the semi-final win over California (11-8). Down 2-1 early in the finals, Stanford countered with six unanswered goals and never looked back. Sophomore Julie Christie and freshman Sarah Flynn each tallied a hat trick to lift Stanford on offense. Senior Daphne Patterson dished out four assists, duplicating her effort from the Cal game. Seniors Megan McClain and Katharine Fox, as well as sophomore Dana Lindsay were all-tournament honorees. Lindsay scored five goals in the quarterfinal win over St. Mary's (19-4).

DENVER was the MPSF Tournament runner-up for the third straight year following a win over Oregon (18-12) in the semi-final and a loss to Stanford (9-8) in the championship. Midfielders Lexi Sanders and Karen Morton were all-tournament selections, as was the conference player of the year in senior defender Kelly O'Connell. Sanders put away a hat trick in the finals, while Morton had one goal with three assists. In the semi-final win, Morton delivered four goals, as did sophomore Ali Flury and junior Steph Coyne. Coyne added three assists against the Ducks, while junior Megan Carver scored seven points on three goals and four assists. The 20th-ranked Pioneers turned in a 13-6 overall record this year.

OREGON won two of three over the weekend to claim third-place. The fourth-seeded Ducks topped No. 5 seed UC Davis (14-9) in the quarterfinals and No. 2 seed California (9-8) in the third-place game. Seniors Jen May and Jana Bradley each scored twice vs. the Bears. May and junior Ilsa van den Berg netted hat tricks vs. the Aggies, while senior Theresa Waldron dished out four assists. The Ducks finish their season 13-7, and spent much of their season ranked in the national polls.

CALIFORNIA finished fourth at this past weekend's MPSF Tournament in Berkeley. The Bears came up short to No. 3 seed Stanford (11-8) in the semi-finals and No. 4 seed Oregon (9-8) in the third-place game. Junior Madeleine Dale tallied a hat trick vs. the Cardinal. Eight Bears' scored once vs. the Ducks, though All-MPSF seniors Brittant Aungier and Danni Zuralow led the way with three points as both added a pair of assists.

UC DAVIS sophomore Olivia Jarem scored a hat trick and senior goalkeeper Hilary Harkins registered eight of her 10 saves in the second half as the Aggies claimed fifth-place with a 13-11 win over St. Mary's. Senior All-MPSF and all-tournament selection Katie McMahon recorded a game-high five points in the quarterfinal loss to Oregon.

ST. MARY'S lost both its tournament games, 19-4 to No. 3 Stanford and 13-11 to No. 5 UC Davis. Junior all-tournament selection PJ Hainley had two goals and two assists vs. the Cardinal and six goals in the fifth-place game vs. the Aggies.
