AIR FORCE (1-12) fell twice to Eastern Michigan last weekend. On the first night Air Force scored team season-high 189.500 while Eastern Michigan scored a 191.575. The Falcons had season-best performances on the vault (48.275) and balance beam (47.875) during the meet. The Falcons best finish of the night came from freshman Brittany Dutton, who tied for third on the vault with a career-best 9.725. In the second match up Air Force scored a 189.200 compared to 192.525 for Eastern Michigan. The Falcons captured four of the top six spots on the floor exercise. As a team, the Falcons accounted for a score of 48.025 on the floor. That mark displaces the previous season-best score of 47.650 that Air Force tallied two weeks ago.

ALASKA ANCHORAGE (3-9) delivered its finest performance of the 2008 season despite losing to host and conference rival UC Davis, 192.875-190.625 on Friday. Freshman Leah Wilson took top honors on balance beam while UAA also got a terrific three-event performance from fellow freshman Kelsey Fullerton, who scored a career-high and team season-best 9.825 on floor exercise, plus a 9.625 on vault and a 9.6 on balance beam. The Seawolves set another season best in a 191.625-193.375 loss to Sacramento State points Sunday at the Hornet's Nest. Sophomore Courtney Williams posted a career-best 38.325 in the all-around and a career-high 9.725 on balance beam. UAA's talented freshman class played a big role in Sunday's success again as Leah Wilson equaled her team season-high of 9.775 on beam, set Friday at UC Davis. Kelsey Fullerton led the Seawolves with a 9.775 on floor and posted 9.65s on both beam and vault.

SEATTLE PACIFIC (2-9) scored a 196.825 in a loss to Boise State (194.475) and Utah State (194.700). Brianna Schwartz scored a career-high on bars and Anissa Madrid claimed two season-high scores. Schwartz scored 9.825 on bars, marking a career-high performance and a 4th place finish on bars for the night, which was the closest SPU got to the podium. Madrid, just a freshman, scored season-highs of 9.675 on beam and 9.500 on floor, landing her 6th and 13th respectively overall. Senior Falcon Ashley Domres tied her career-high score on bars (9.800) but struggled through beam and floor, scoring her lowest in each for the season.

UC DAVIS (8-4) defeated Alaska Anchorage 192.875-190.625. The team score was a season high. Senior Michelle Kulovitz won the individual floor exercise title with a career-high 9.875 while sophomores Michelle Bobonski and Lida Gehlen added event wins on vault and bars. Kulovitz also the individual all-around winner with a four-event total of 37.800. Her night included a 9.725 on vault, good for a tie for third place with teammate Stacey Nicolini. Bobonski posted a 3-for-3 performance for the second consecutive week, carding a winning 9.800 on vault, a third-place 9.725 on bars and a second-place 9.725 on balance beam. As a team, UC Davis broke the 48-point barrier on beam (48.075) and floor (48.450) for the first time during the 2008 season.

MICHELLE BOBINSKI NAMED MPSF GYMNAST OF THE WEEK Woodland, Calif. - Michelle Bobinski of UC Davis has been named MPSF gymnast of the week. She posted a solid 3-for-3 night in the Aggies' dual win over Alaska Anchorage Friday. She won the vault at 9.800 while adding a second-place 9.725 on balance beam and a third-place 9.725 on uneven bars, helping UC Davis tally a season-best 192.875 team score.
