ALEXIS BROWN OF UC DAVIS MPSF GYMNAST OF THE WEEK

UC Davis senior Alexis Brown (Huntington Beach, CA) won the all-around (39.275), tied for third on vault (9.775), tied for second on uneven bars (9.825), tied for fourth on balance beam (9.850) and was second on floor (9.825) in the triangular with Utah State and Sacramento State (Feb. 9). The beam score ties her season-high, while the all-around total sets a new best for 2018. UC Davis scored a 194.525 in the meet to outduel the rival Hornets. KELLEY HEBERT OF UC DAVIS MPSF FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

UC Davis true freshman Kelley Hebert (Dublin, CA) scored a career-high 38.975 in the all-around in a triangular with Utah State and Sacramento State (Feb. 9). She placed second outright on vault with a 9.800 and tied for second on balance beam with a 9.875, setting career-highs in each event. UC Davis scored a 194.525 in the meet, outdueling its MPSF rival Sacramento State. This is the second career MPSF weekly honor for Hebert (Jan. 30). ANALISE HOWARD OF AIR FORCE MPSF SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK

Air Force junior Analise Howard (Westminster, CA) posted a career-best 9.875 to win the balance beam during the dual win over Seattle Pacific (Feb. 10). She improved her overall score by 0.100 points during that performance to win by 0.075, and paced the squad to a season-high 48.900 on that event. Howard also matched her season-high of 9.750 to tie for fifth on the uneven bars, the third-highest score of her career, and helped Air Force to its second-highest total in program history (49.000). The Falcons’ overall 194.275 is the sixth-highest team score since Doug Day’s arrival in 2007. AIR FORCE POSTS MPSF SEASON-HIGH BARS TOTAL, NO. 2 IN PROGRAM HISTORY

AIR FORCE recorded the sixth-highest team score in the 12-year Doug Day coaching era, totaling 194.275 in defeating Seattle Pacific at home last Saturday (Feb. 10). The uneven bars team totaled 49.000, second-best in Academy history. Mariana Murphy and Anna Salamone shared the event win (9.85), which was also a career-high for Murphy, while Jessica Kirkpatrick tied for third with a career-best 9.775. Salamone and Lauren Miller added a vault win (9.70). Analise Howard posted a meet-high 9.875 to win the beam, before Casey Bell’s 9.80 won the floor.

UC DAVIS totaled 194.525, behind Utah State and ahead of Sacramento State in a home tri-meet (Feb. 9). Alexis Brown captured the all-around win (39.275), backed by a pair of second-place finishes on floor (9.825) and uneven bars (9.825, tie). Kelley Hebert tallied a career-high all-around (38.975), highlighted by a 9.875 second-place tie on balance beam and 9.80 second-place vault, both personal-bests.

SAN JOSE STATE recorded three 9.875 scores in a home tri-meet with Boise State and Iowa State (Feb. 9), leading to a Spartans’ season-high 194.500. Katie Won hit that individual score on a career-high uneven bars routine for a second-place tie, as did Ellie Pascoe-long on a career vault and Taylor Chan on floor, both resulting in third-place ties.

ALASKA-ANCHORAGE Mackenzie Miller recorded a career-high all-around (38.200) in the first of two duals at Centenary (Feb. 9), en route to a winning 188.500 Seawolves’ total. Hope Nelson won the bars in the second meet (9.70), before Kendra Daniels sealed UAA’s win with a first-place beam (9.825) in the meet’s final routine, as the Seawolves totaled 189.050.

SEATTLE PACIFIC totaled 189.250 at Air Force (Feb. 10), as Darian Burns won the all-around (37.875), backed by a 9.70 and fourth-place floor. Miyuki Matsune and Itzia San Roman also had fourth-place finishes on beam (9.775, career-high tying) and vault (9.60), respectively.

SACRAMENTO STATE Annie Juarez delivered a career all-around for the second-straight week (39.150), finishing second at UC Davis, highlighted by a winning 9.875 on floor. Caitlin Soliwoda tied for second on bars (9.825) and took third all-around (39.125). Courtney Soliwoda tied for second on beam (9.875) and tied for third on vault (9.775). The Hornets totaled a season-high 194.400.
