UC DAVIS senior Michelle Ho posted a pair of 9.80 routines, sharing an uneven bars title and placing second on floor, as the Aggies placed third at the San Jose State Quad to begin the 2013 season. UC Davis tallied a team score of 191.400, beating its all-time opening total by one-tenth. Ho tied her previous career high on bars, first set in March, 2011. Junior Anna Shumaker placed fourth on vault (9.825), also making her first collegiate all-around appearance (37.875). The Aggies' home opener is Friday (Jan. 11) against California.
SEATTLE PACIFIC visits Sacramento State Friday to open 2013. The Falcons return senior all-arounder Stephanie Wagner, last year's MPSF Silver Medalist on floor (9.85). SPU finished second at the 2012 conference meet (191.150).
ALASKA-ANCHORAGE hits the east coast to open its season this week, visiting Bridgeport Thursday (Jan. 10) and Rutgers for a Saturday (Jan. 12) tri-meet with Yale. The Seawolves return Emily Petersen, Morgan Cook and Sariaye Jensen. Cook was the 2012 MPSF All-Around Bronze Medalist (38.075).
AIR FORCE opens its season Saturday (Jan. 12) at No. 20 Denver. The Falcons return a strong junior class of USAG All-Americans in Katie Hawthorne, Jessica Hanner, Linnaea Hance, and Jen Larsen, as well as sophomores Jessica Wallander and Alexandra Stych.

UC Davis senior Michelle Ho (Los Altos, CA) posted scores of 9.80 on both uneven bars and floor at Friday's quad meet at San Jose State. The Aggies finished third with a 191.400, a tenth of a point better than their previous team record for a season opener set in 2011. Ho tied her previous career high on bars, first achieved in March, 2011. She tied Stanford's Ashley Morgan for the meet win, and placed second on floor.
