Michael Harris scored the game's only goal in the 15th-minute Thursday (Nov. 15) to lead the University of Washington to a 1-0 victory over Air Force in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament at Husky Soccer Stadium in Seattle, WA.

Harris took a corner kick from James Moberg and headed in his first goal of the season past Air Force goalkeeper Matt Underwood, who finished the game with three saves.

The Huskies (13-4-3) advance to face Creighton on Sunday (Nov. 18) in Omaha, NE., while the Falcons' season came to an end with a 10-9-4 record. MPSF At-Large and No. 13 seed University of New Mexico also competes in the second round Sunday, hosting ACC At-Large Virginia, a 1-0 first round winner over Lafayette.

Air Force, making its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1997, won three MPSF Tournament games last week (including back-to-back comeback wins over the top two seeds) to represent the conference as an automatic bid.
