KENNA RAMEY OF PACIFIC MPSF/TYR FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Pacific senior Kenna Ramey (Federal Way, WA) had an outstanding outing in a dual meet with UC Santa Barbara (Jan. 20). DYLAN TOY OF PACIFIC MPSF/TYR MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Pacific junior Dylan Toy (Stockton, CA) earned victories in both the 100 Free (44.93) and 400 Free Relay (3:02.41), had a second-place finish in the 50 free (20.72), while also helping the Tigers’ 200 Medley Relay “B” team to a third-place finish (anchor, 1:33.15) in their dual against UC Santa Barbara (Jan. 20). GAUCHOS WIN ROAD FINALES

UCSB men (164-107) and women (151-137) each won a dual at Pacific (Jan. 20) to wrap the road schedule. On the men's side, Joe Kmak contributed two first- places swims in the 100 breast (57.80) and 200 breast (2:04.39), as did Billy Mullis in the 200 back (1:47.95) and 200 IM (1:51.13). For the Gaucho women, Heaven Quintana won the 100 breast (1:03.29) and the 100 fly (54.17). Rachel Forbes easily won the 1000 free in 10:09.59, 11 seconds faster than second-place. Last Friday (Jan. 19), the UCSB women edged UC Davis, 150-144, a meet decided in the final race. Jacquelyn Harris, Haley Herzberg, Emily Ward, and Leanne Sun finished the 400 free relay in 3:28.36 for the team win.

UC DAVIS won 11 of 16 events in the final home meet of the season, easily defeating San Jose State, 196-102 (Jan. 20). Courtney Schultz was an individual triple-event winner in the 50 free (24.09), 100 free (51.96), and 200 free (1.52.75), before her fourth win on the 400 free relay (3.28.45). Eva Chung posted wins in the 200 fly (2.05.00) and 200 IM (2.07.25). Kristin Schumann tallied wins in the 100 breast (1.05.03) and 200 breast (2.20.30), and Paige Lampron dominated the distance events with wins in the 500 free (5.02.61) and 1000 free (10.37.05). Katie Truong finished second on the one-meter with an NCAA Zone Qualifying 270.67 points.

PACIFIC Kenna Ramey had three wins for the Tiger women vs. UCSB, taking the 50 free (23.59), 100 free (52.14), and 200 medley relay (1.43.75). Dylan Toy won the 100 Free (44.93) on the men’s side, while Michael Kang came out on top in the 200 free (1.43.05).

SAN DIEGO Dani Taylor and Mackenna Briggs won an individual event in the dual meet at San Diego State (Jan. 19), won by the Aztecs, 153-131. Taylor came out on top in the 100 free (52.67), while Briggs was the 1000 free winner (10.37.74).
